Your respectfull, Mother of all Uyghurs in the world, Rebiya Kadeer,
Your are doing an excellent job in achieving the cause of Uyghur independence. every time i listen to your speech, every time i know what you are doing for the Uyghur people, I am so moved and want to cry as all other Uyghurs around the world do.
Uyghurs are doing much better in terms of achieving their independence goal now than in any time in the past. Many Uyghur organizations are built in the past years that fight for the cause of Uyghurs. We are getting more and more international attention. Almost all the Uyghur people outside china are doing what they can to help their brothers and sisters within the Uyghur Autonomous Region. These are things that all Uyghur brothers and sisters within the Uyghur Autonomous Region are gratefull for and wanted to do themselves when they try to get outside the borders of china.
However, we have to admit that Uyghur's past history was determined by big communist powers like china and soviet union. this is the historical truth. Our fate in the future should be determined by ourselves. BUT, let's face the reality, the world is ruled by politics and politics are very compilicated and dirty. We are getting more and more support form the united states and uropean union. there is clearly human rights issues and humanitarian issues. but, the main reason Uyghurs and Tibettans are supported by US and EU is the fear of chinese rising as the world power and ulimately splitting of china. it is not mainly because they are really concerned with the plight of our people. and US and EU will help uyghurs and tibetans more if we don't pose any future treat to them. WE HAVE TO PLAY BY THE RULE OF INTERNATIONAL POLITICS IN ORTHER TO ACHIEVE OUR INDEPENDENCE GOAL.
BUT, the cause of Uyghur independence movement is restricted because the way we are struggling is confusing. there ARE thing that we can be much more clear and do much more better.
The BIGGEST OBSTACLE in achieving Uyghur independence is ISLAM. i am not saying that we are not muslim. Uyghurs are muslim, this is the truth! but we are moderate muslims and we are secular muslims. let's face it ! we are not fundamental islamists. we shoul be crystal clear when we are campaigning for our freedom. this is the truth and we should explain to this to the western people clearly. we should clearly keep the ETIM out of our agenda. we must know that US ans EU would not support the independence an islamic fundamentalist country.
The SECOND OBSTACLE in achieving Uyghur independence is the name "EAST TURKISTAN". east turkistan is a legacy from 1940s when Uyghurs, kazaks, uzbeks, tatars and kisgizs are united together against chinese rule. now it is 21 century, NO ONE EXEPT UYGHURS ARE FIGHTING FOR THE INDEPENDENCE OF UYGHUR AUTONOMOUS REGION and EVERY COUNTRY IN CENTRAL ASIA IS CALLING THEIR NATION BY THEIR NAMES, NOT BY "MIDDLE, NORTH OR SOUTH TURKISTAN." no one within and outside the Uyghur Autonomous region except for Uyghurs are fighting for independence. every one prisoned and sentenced to death because of independence are uyghurs. should we still call our dream nation "EAST TURKISTAN" instead of calling it "Uyghuristan"????? many uyghurs must wonder why few western people know about uyghurs? think about it idiots ! you are not using "Uyghuristan" in your propaganda, you are using "east turkistan" that has nothing to do with uyghurs in western philosophy!!!!!
there is another reason why we should not call it "EAST TURKISTAN". Turkish government and people has a long historical ambition to unite all turks to from a turkish alliance in order to compete with US and EU. that is what exactly what US and EU fear the most!!! we are calling our future nation "east turkistan". that is why turkish government and people support us because our name implicate a turkish union from west turkey to east turkistan. US and EU fear the turkish union and they HATE the name "EAST TURKISTAN"!!!!!!!!!!! they will not willing to support us!!!!!!!!!!
all the western world support tibet. because they don't pose any threat to US and EU. tibet is getting more and more closer to real autonomy and independence.
Western world will not give their full support to uyghurs because we are confusing them with ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISM and TURKISH NATIONALISM !!!! western people fear that if uyghurs are independent, we will be islamic nation that supports global terroris or an turkish nationalist nation that forms the turkish union poses them a threat of turkish impire!!!!
We all know that Uyghurs are secular muslims that has nothing to do with islamic fundamentalism. we all know that uyghurs are just fighting for uyghur human rights and preservation of uyghur culture that has nothing to do with turkish nationalism. THEN DO WE HAVE TO CAUSE CONFUSION BY CALLING OURSELVES "EAST TURKISTAN" AND LINKING OURSELVES WITH turkish nationalism and TERRORIST GROUPS?????????

we need to seriosly think about abandoning the name "east turkistan". because it is causing misconceptions about turkish nationalism to the western world and thereby we are losing western democratic support because of that. we are fighting for uyghur human rights and cultural rights. we should be clear about that and call our future nation "UYGHURISTAN". because, Uyghuristan is a cultural and neutral world that every uyghur will love and avoids the misconception of islamic fundamentalism and turkish nationalism that loses western support.
we shoul highlight our cultural freedom and our human rights in the international world. and we should avoid citing islamic fundamentalism and turkish nationalism when campaigning. we should completely erase the word "EAST TURKISTAN" and change it to "Uyghuristan". only then, we can get the massive international support that tibetans get today.
I have to say sorry to turkish people and government. you have been supportive and sympathetic to uyghurs. uyghurs are thankfull from their heart and we will not forget that !!!
as for the governments of Uzbekistan, Kazakistan and Kirgizistan, i can only say "YOU ARE SO BUSY KISSING CHINESE AND RUSSIAN ASSES. THERE ARE MORE UYGHUR REFUGEES FROM YOUR COUNTRY THAN FROM UYGHUR AUTONOMOUS REGION !!!! WE WILL NOT FORGET THAT TOO!!!!"
Dear mother Rebiya Kadeer, please explain the truth above to all uyghurs in western world. and change our national name to "uyghuristan". the flag and everything else will remain the same. at least hold a voting among all the uyghur activists and residents in the western world to choose "uyghuristan" or "east turkistan".
