UAA/UHRP Welcome HRW/HRIC Report

The Uyghur American Association/ Uyghur Human Rights Project (UAA/UHRP) welcomes the release Human Rights Watch and Human Rights in China's jointly published report, Devastating Blows: Religious Repression of Uighurs in Xinjiang. This comprehensive report details the many human rights abuses committed against the Uyghur people in East Turkistan by the Chinese government. According to Nury Turkel, President of the Uyghur American Association, “This is the most complete report about Uyghurs that has been published to date. We would like to thank Human Rights Watch and Human Rights in China for publishing this revealing report about the plight of the Uyghur people.”
