Oslo- An exiled Chinese human rights activist urged Norway to boycott the upcoming 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, reports said Thursday. "I hope the Norwegian Olympic Committee will say that it cannot compete in a country where human rights are violated in such a manner," Rebiya Kadeer of the Uighur ethnic minority said in an interview with the regional newspaper Bergens Tidende.

Kadeer was awarded the 2004 Rafto Prize, created in 1986 in memory of outspoken human rights activist Thorolf Rafto, professor at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in the west coast town of Bergen.

In the 1990s the wealthy businesswoman was active in politics, hoping to bring about reforms by working within the Communist party system.

She was arrested in 1999 after campaigning for the rights of the Uighur ethnic minority, and sentenced to an eight-year jail term but was released on medical grounds in March 2005 and now lives in the United States.

The Uighur, a Muslim minority in northwest China, number some 7.5 million.

"It is no exaggeration to say that in our century, China is the most fascist regime we have," Kadeer was quoted as saying.

Kadeer said Norway was known for its respect for human rights, and she said she could not understand "how you can accept that a country like China is allowed to host the Olympic Games."

Conditions for other minorities including Tibetans and Mongols have also worsened, she said.

Kadeer, 60, has eleven children. She was nominated for the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize.

Why wouldn't Uyghur people ask the same thing to Turkiye?
Why for heaven's sake wouldn't ask such think vigorously to your brothers,
to all Turkic Nations?,why?
I wonder when do people stop being good boys?

the news report says that the person in question
mentioned in an interview
(to the journalist) what Norway should do.

It does not clearly define to whom (Norwegian President,or
Norwegian Foreign Affairs Minister,or Norwegian Olympic Committee)
this request has been addressed.

Thus ,the title of the news is misleading the reader to think that
the owner of this idea demanded something from Norway
but from whom and when and under which circumstance....

If such conditions are not given how are we supposed to know
who was actually addressed and who should be held responsible
with an answer to such a demand.

This shows either German journalism is not efficient for not asking the owner of the suggestion for specific clues.

Or was the demand made to the Rafto people ?

This situation damage the credibility of the news,
on the other hand would it not be more mediatic and realistic
if the owner of the idea pose the same demand on the US government
where she is wholeheartedly and warmly received

since the USA will be participating with more sportsmen and women
than all Scandinavia put together in the afore mentioned Olympic games
in the country to be protested ?

Now the Norwegians are stuck with a demand that no one has answered yet,

or was the alleged demand proposed for the sake of proposal

and no answer was necessary .

The journalist seem to report more clues to the owner of the idea
rather than the answer to the proposal.

WHAT DID THE NORWEGIAN GOVERNMENT SAY ?

WHAT WILL THE USA GOVERNMENT WILL SAY IF THEY WERE CONFRONTED WITH A SIMILAR DEMAND ?

WILL THE PERSON ASK FOR THE SAME ACTION ON THE SAME GROUNDS
FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY WHERE HUMAN RIGHTS ARE AS MUCH POPULAR
AS IN NORWAY ?

IF PEOPLE END UP NOT GETTING ANSWERS BACK,
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF DEMANDING SOMETHING IN PUBLIC ?
AND ANNOUNCING IT GLOBALLY..

WILL THIS NOT SHAKE THE CREDIBILITY AND ABILITY OF THE PERSON CONCERNED ?

WHERE ARE THE VALUABLE CONSULTANTS ?
WHO ARE BEHIND THESE VALUABLE IDEAS ...

PLEASE.

Turkiye is not strong enough and Turkiye has already bad reputation about human rights and deomocracy. If we can do this in America and EU , the rest will follow. We can not expect much from Turkiye.

Why wouldn't Uyghur people ask the same thing to Turkiye?
Why for heaven's sake wouldn't ask such think vigorously to your brothers,
to all Turkic Nations?,why?
I wonder when do people stop being good boys?

Our "clever" brothers, Kazak, Kyrkiz, Ozbeks are eating their own shit my friend. they are not free. they are still under Russia and China.
Turkey also busy with begging EU to take them. Where is your dignity Turkiye? It is Turkish embassy where did not issue a visa for the Leader of Uighurs Rabiya kadeer a few months ago.
We can not trust our "brothers". There is more then enough proof.
