BEIJING, Sept 29 (Reuters) - PetroChina (0857.HK: Quote (http://today.reuters.com/stocks/overview.aspx?symbol=0857.HK&WTmodLoc=InvArt-C1-ArticlePage1), Profile (http://today.reuters.com/stocks/CompanyProfile.aspx?symbol=0857.HK&WTmodLoc=InvArt-C1-ArticlePage1), Research (http://today.reuters.com/stocks/ResearchReports.aspx?symbol=0857.HK&WTmodLoc=InvArt-C1-ArticlePage1)) has filled up a new oil product pipeline in northwest China, an industry report said on Friday, a few months behind schedule.
The pipeline runs 1,842 km (1,145 miles) from Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang region, to Lanzhou in Gansu province, according to a report on Web site www.oilnews.com.cn (http://www.oilnews.com.cn).

PetroChina, Asia's largest oil and gas company, started pumping fuels into the 10 million tonnes per year (200,000 barrels per day) line in mid August and filled it up early this week.

The pipeline, together with a crude line also built by PetroChina along a similar route, will eventually be connected to the China-Kazakhstan crude pipeline, which started flowing Kazakh oil earlier this year.

The report did not say when the Xinjiang-Gansu crude pipeline would start running.

PetroChina operates three refineries in Xinjiang to process crude produced in the region and imported from Kazakstan.
