The new statues, which were revealed during the Victory Day celebrations, have caused a crisis in the town. People have noticed the resemblance between the two figures erected near Ataturk's statue with CHP mayor Ismail Uygur and his wife Afet Uygur. Today, the city council will meet to discuss the statutes. The AKP (Justice and Development Party) group is planning to submit a motion and demand the cost of the statues be paid by Mayor Ismail Uygur. It has been learned that the statues cost 150 thousand YTL.
