View Full Version : Genetic Study shows Uyghurs inhabited Central Asia for 40,000 years

According to this research on the genetic background of the Uyghurs done by foreign and Chinese genealogists it shows that:

A (Hypothesis made by foreign genealogists) : UIG arrived in central Asia about 40,000 years ago (or 2,000 generations ago assuming 20 years per generation) (Cavalli-Sforza and Feldman 2003); 2) EAS and EUR split about 2,000 generations ago (Cavalli-Sforza and Feldman 2003)

B (Hypothesis made by Chinese genealogists): UIG was formed by population amalgamation with ancestry contribution from both EAS and EUR about 100 generations ago (Xu et al. 2008; Xu and Jin 2008); 3) UIG are recipients of the gene pool of EAS as well as EUR. We first took H1 as null hypothesis and H2 as alternative hypothesis.

HOWEVER IT IS NOTED THAT THE WESTERN GENEALOGISTS WHO PUT FORTH THE HYPOTHESIS USING ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES AND METHODS COMPARED TO THE CHINESE HYPOTHESIS (WHO MOSTLY LIKELY DIMINISHED THE UYGHUR GENETIC FINDINGS, BECAUSE IT CONTRADICTS THE CHINESE PROPAGANDA THAT UYGHURS EXISTED IN CENTRAL ASIA SINCE 500 A.D., WHICH HAS BEEN COUNTER PROVEN THAT UYGHURS HAVE HAD AT LEAST 6,000 YEAR PRESENCE IN CENTRAL ASIA). TODAY ACCORDING TO THESE GENETIC STUDY BY WESTERN GENEALOGISTS WE CAN BELIEVE THAT UYGHURS HAVE HISTORY OF AT LEAST 40,000 YEARS (2,000 GENERATIONS).
