Question: Is the State Department familiar with a group claming to be the East Turkestan government in exile? Do we recognize them as such? Does this group receive any support from the United States Government?
Answer: We have seen a press release making such a claim. The U.S. Government does not recognize any East Turkestan government-in-exile, nor do we provide support for any such entity.
