an American friend

Hello,
I'm a young American, and a huge fan of Xinjiang food. I've been looking for recipes online, and videos to learn how to cook this food, but haven't found any.

I did find this book on wikibooks, but it is empty -- and waiting for some knowledgeable people to fill in recipes, and share them with the world

I hope you will share this link with you family and friends, so that others can learn to cook your delicious food.

Please help!

I do have a cook book of Uyghur food in Uyghur but my English is not good enough to translate it into English. I could try my best if you can specify what kind of Uyghur food recipes you are looking for.
Best

Oh, yes! I don't know any of the names, so any recipe is good.

It is good that recipes can use simple language, and don't have many words.

If you do want to translate it, maybe it would be a good idea to have another english speaking Uyghur help.

If you're looking for Uyghur recipes in English, check out a few of the articles my friend posted on her Xinjiang blog. She basically translated a few recipes from a Uyghur cookbook she bought while living here. Really good stuff.

Thanks a lot. Its surprising that there isn't an English language Uyghur cookbook. Has the UAA thought about making one? It'd help spread awareness of Uyghur culture and issues.
