I wonder if someone knows what Yupurup means?

yupurup means : cover up ..... or hide
for example .... qulighini yupurup .... it can imply to pretending as if not hearing anything.



yupurup may also mean destroying but i am ot sure :-)

correct spelling of that word should be:

yopurush (Noun), yopurup (verb connector), yopur (order form), yopurma (negative order form), yopurdi (Past tense), yopurghan (PP)

"yupurush" could be local dialect of verbal expression, not written one.

meaning is as mentioned: to cover up, to pretend not to hear or hide.

mostly is being used in relation with hearing.
