I'm moved today when one of my Taiwanese coursemates emailed me the link to N Yasin's story "Wild Pigeons". She emailed me to say she feels sad but what can I say?? I can make her believe what the situations Uyghurs have to accept at home but I can never make most of my Mainland Chinese coursemates believe me. I was wondering whether we should make greater efforts to make the Chinese people understand us, sysmpathize us and maybe support us while we are making efforts to make the international world know the Uyghur. Let's discuss...

Hm, what to discuss? I think you have already answered you own question.

We can discuss anything beside seperatism.
If Uyghur people believe XinJiang is part of China and it will never
be seperated from the Country , We can discuss almost everything.

Don't even think about it! You can control the people physically, but you will never be able to manipulate their mind and their desire for freedom.

Sounds pretty good.
But please define 'freedom' first.
How could you proof your mind hasn't been manipulated yet?

Agree with post above.
Most Uyghur in America is being propagandly washed
by the American government and their so called
"freedom , democracy'' Values. If you Uyghur people
wants to see a live example , Please take a look at
Central Asian countries . Democractic government
only brought chaos and instablity to the people.
Government are being corrupted by upper offcials.
Democracy has just become another name to persuade
and manipulate Uyghur people to become another
American watch dog.

Don't forget China is also an American dog! Oh, used to be Japanese and Russian dog, too! :) I suggest you don't put too much credit on China. Chinese people got rid of famine and humiliation no more than 50 years! :)

If you say democracy leads to instability and corruption, you must be either ignorant or dishonest. Corruption and social conflicts are exactly most serious problems happening in socialist countries like China. You are just covering those issues from outside world, aren't you?

Yes, the Unites States is not a perfect country, however, it has the highest democracy and freedom in the world, with which none of other countries can compare.

To most Uyghurs, being American dog is much better than being controlled by Chinese pigs.

Whooo..easy up there.....
Just tell me one nation in Central Asia that successfully adopted
Democracy and made its country better than before.
Any? I believe None . Even after they adopted western style democracy
their country is just worst than before , poverty , chaos , political instablity
and gov't suppressions. People benefited from the system? No , many people still regret the days back in the USSR where they can have free housing and medical services . Now , gov't can't even provide food on their table. If you call that democracy , go ahead starve to death and be w/e you want to call yourself.
Trust me , You Uyghur people are different than Americans . Just because
something works in America doesn't mean it works in Uyghur.
Do you think a basic citizen in Xinjiang care about your democracy and
human rights bullshit? They don't care as long as they can have their
food on their table. Its people like you bring chaos and destruction to your
own people. You must want them to starve to death and yell out
''we love democracy and human rights''.
Tell me , what is the basic education level in central asia? Maybe elementry school? Most can't even write their own language. You think they give
a shit about your democracy plan? Hell no , They care about what are they
gonna eat next day. Most of them have no idea what is democracy , they
just follow whoever hands out the food , like animals. You give them a pity
they guide the door for you , or maybe lick ur shoes?

States in Central Asia have never tried to establish democratic system! On the contrary, they opressed the people, refused to carry out political and economic reform, that is why they are on the edge on breakdown. You have no idea about what democracy is.

None of the Central Asian countries adopted western style democracy since their break up from the Soviet Union. Just look at the current leaders of these countries: Islam Karimov of Uzbekstan was former head of the communist party, who has been adopting communist style dictatorship in his country ever since its independence. His unwillingness to promote democracy and the heavy handedness to the legitimate opposition (he is famous in boiling alive a dissent) is the core cause of the insitability that you mentioned in your idiotic post. Recently, he once again showed his butcher character to the whole world by killing hundreds of innocent people in Andijan. The funny thing is, your Chinese regime has openly supported such an atrocity and allied himself with this authocratic regime. This is not surprsing, given the fact that China itself is an dictatoral regime who doesn't hesitate to kill his own people for expressing legitimate aspirations toward democray. Tian'anmen, Ghulja (Yining) massacres are two examples.

Others, like the Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan and Saparmurad Niyazow of Turkmenistan, have also been holding tight to their power and never truely implemented democracy in their respective countries; The recent chaos in Kyrgyzstan was due to the corruption of Akayev's government, who jailed the opposition leader for obscure reasons.

We, Uyghur people, know ourselves that if we're the same or the different from the Americans. We do not need a Chinese like you to tell this to us. And since we Uyghurs are the "basic" citizens of Eastern Turkestan, we know that we care about democracy, human rights and, above all, the independence. We know that you Chinese are robbing our resources, taking our jobs and jailing and killing our people who expressed thier legitimate opposition to these unjustices. We know that the only way to truly prosper is to get our freedom and independence from your colonial regime. Being rich under your rule means nothing, Rabiye Kadir is a prime example of what happens to our rich people under your dictatorship.

Listen you ignorant Chinese chauvinist bastard: Most of the people in the central asian countries have more education than the average Chinese like you and they do care about democracy and freedom. The events in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are the examples of what the ordinary people want in these Central Asian countries. They're not animals like you Chinese pigs who only care about their food, instead they're intelligent human beings who have true aspirations to the God given right of democracy and freedom.

Have a nice day.

Uyghurs and Chinese can never communicate with each other and each group will never understand nor respect each other. This is just like that with sheep and pigs which can never gather together and sleep together! (lol!)
