Last week I was in Flushing New York,

walking down on Main Street towards the Post office,
I saw some smoke coming from a vendor booth on the 41st street;

thinking I would check it out after the post office,
I did not pay much attention.

When I came back to the stall I saw the skewers of kebabs,
and the sign read ''Traditional Xinjiang Kebab'',

but I was not sure that the maker was an Uyghur,

and since he did not greet me ,I figured he must be Han nationality.

Later I found out that there are many Chinese vendors of Xinjiang kebab in new York.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION ,

ONE OF THESE COMING DAYS

AN UYGHUR FAST FOOD PLACE WILL BE OPENED

WITH KEBABS AND UZBEK RICE WITH MUTTON,

ALSO SAMSA WILL BE BAKED RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE EYES

SINCE THE LADY OF THE UYGHUR ENTERPRENEUR IS IN CHARGE OF THE KITCHEN,

ONE WILL NOT BE HOMESICK FOR REAL UYGHUR AND UZBEK FOOD IN NEW YORK,

THAT IS IF YOU ARE IN NEW YORK AND IN FLUSHING,
AND AT THE END OF METRO LINE 7,

Washington is next ,

said the owner of the restaurant,

and it is about time.

cordially,

ps.The Turkish festival in Central Park brought many Uyghur and Uzbeks from as far as Pennsylvania.

Publications by the Turkish World Research Foundation,
and Prof.Gulcin Candarlioglu's books on Uyghur history were promoted,
next to Uyghur calligraphy by Ghazi Ahmed and Yasin kerim from Khotan.

Turdi efendi wish you were there.
